There's no such thing as "good moderation" there's either big kids or small kids. Either way they are kids. When I was hosting my server, I did manage to find few sane 14-15 year olds who were fine enough to be moderators.

I can recommend some servers that have the same "opn dor, no kil" but with strict moderation. I am not allowed to post here due to the rules though

Infinite Rain: I have nothing against IRAN TOWN, but I must agree. It was total chaos both seen in the server and server list 
VADemon: They already found out about fwsl minecraft town, which has nothing to do with minecraft btw, and is laggy as shit also you can build as many turrets as you want near the spawn place.I think iran town was much better.
Yates' FreeRoam server would be popular by now if it was named happy town.
