It seems when the map gets too big (2100x2100), the game (Atleast on the host's side. Untested on other clients' sides) lags immensley. I've checked my Memory, and there is a sufficient amount left. I'm wondering if calculations in the core of the game multiply with an increase of the map's size, and if there is a way around this.

they shouldn't multiply. the map consists of tiles (100x100 pixels) and only relevant tiles are drawn/updated/used for collision checks.

so there is not much left to optimize..

there are some minor tweaks but they will probably not help in that case. for example I highly optimized rendering grass and tree leaves for the next release. you could try if setting "particles and details" to "few" changes anything (if yes: chances are good that the next version will run better).

Yea the map gets laggier by each pixel it seems or perhaps the PC can't handle the huge amount of them, right? that's my conclusion.

The answer is no, I tried that already. It did not help.
