You can protect files from being deleted by a white list.
How to protect files from being deleted?
Just! Make a note of their names in a white list.
For Maps - 'white-list maps'
For GFX - 'white-list gfx'
For SFX - 'white-list sfx'
For files in the root directory - 'white-list cs2d'
The program did for myself, but then decided to alter for the forum ...

Got a question, CS2D's max fps is 50? By the way, here's a like.

I thought this is a program that speeds up the performance of CS2D so people from the 90's can enjoy this game in their old computers by optimizing some things. Because of this I agree with what
BcY and
TopNotch stated and you should follow their suggestions.
This tool will be very useful if someone is not willing to clean her/his CS2D folder because of her/his laziness. I'd like to give it a try but my CS2D folder is already clean. A doubtful like for you!

Nice tool, we pretty much all know how fast the CS2D folders are getting untidy.
And as
BcY mentioned, CS2D cleaner or cleanup would fit more to this tool.

Oh, this language barrier, I do not quite understand, but my answer is - yes
Upd:
Standard original game files are not deleted (they are pre-registered in the white list)
Upd2:
The program has a built-in scanner folders that will help quickly add new files to the whitelist

I agree to @
Talented Doge: in most cases. It might be a very helpful tool and i have alot of pictures and sounds in the folders that i am too lazy to clean it up of trahs and once i deleted some stuff and than cs:wd didnt work so i dont really know which stuff is important for the game and what is only useless trash of any shitty maps.
Anyway great idea, perhaps i will try it out. Take my like for the effort and the idea!

When scanning, will show you what files can be deleted (only Gfx,Sfx, Screens, Logs and Game folder, other folders are not removed)
But if you do not want to delete any file (or folder), you can bring it to the white list and it will be saved...

It's sad hearing that they were written in different languages/IDE.
Anyway, mind to explain briefly how your tool works? You haven't mentioned how is this going to work and I'm afraid it will delete all useful files. Is this checking whether files are used in maps or it just restores CS2D to a pure installation?

Good idea! But the IDE in which I work, it is not suitable for such as a CS2D multipurpose tool..

I was working for this and you released it. Nice work.
