There's a glitch in one of the maps... We call it the NUCLEAR BOX... It was there by accident, but the glitch is so frustratingly funny that we decided to keep it.

It has a large blast radius which ALMOST takes 1 quarter... So maybe it'll affect like .75 of the map. Buildings won't be damaged much except for glasses.

anyho , played it for one hour , pretty cool , good graphics , sound and atomspere

however , as a ASCII player(i don't care how well are the graphics or sound) the gameplay lacks , its just like saying : "Hey guys! lets throw some graphics , sound , and some weapons in a game and say its a mod"

also , its my personal option , i don't think others might think what i think

It's still early in "development." Trust me, there will be big things coming eventually.

You aren't supposed to play it in regular CS2d. And the server is kinda 24/7...

Wow, I quickly scanned over the work done on this, it's great!

For the benefit of the uhm, sound department, I have an old soundscape I made while developing rp_milsim for the [CC] RP Server.

The soundscape is a heavily modified audio clip directly from a round of bad company 2 with the war tapes sound option on. Since the release of milsim, we have heard nothing but praise about how much the sound immerses the player in the theme of war.

I would like to gladly offer the clip for smod as I see tons of potential in this, and as a control freak I kinda want to officially offer it up before somebody just discovers it and adds it to the mod without my knowledge.

Anyways, if you've ever played rp_milsim then you'll already have the file in your sfx/env folder as modernwarsoundscape.ogg. If not, here http://www.mediafire.com/file/dqylnnmwiyj/modernwarsoundscape.zip

I highly recommend not judging it by what you hear listening to it alone, and instead try it out actually in-mod and see what you think. What you hear in your player and what it sounds like in-game are different while everything else is going on.

Feel free to edit it to turn down the bass or cut out sounds of the player's gun firing (I did my best during the editing process to keep those in by making them sound like noise away from the player, but I can't say I was completely successful.)

In case you're wondering, the soundscape loops without any fading in/out and a barely noticeable change as it loops. The file runs for 2 minutes and 19 seconds.
