Yeah, it is set it regardless if there are tesla coil effects.
But sometimes the issue does not happen, probably because the line width reset somewhere.

Experiencing new visual bugs while using steam CS2D and DirectX. Some of them happen only if advanced shadow is enabled higher than simple and lighting enabled. Filtered Crosshair is not working properly sometimes. Having issues when minimizing/maximizing while playing CS2D in DirectX mode.

EDIT: Please make DirectX the default option instead of OpenGL, OpenGL is way so laggy that is very unplayable. or at least fix the issues with them.

The only way to play with directx is to disable fullscreen optimizations, otherwise you'll get some weird alt tab bugs.

@user SQ: There's so many bugs to fix, I hope you didn't ignored my post in bugs topic. Good update.

There is a visual glitch when playing via Steam (only) and using DirectX, I already disabled Steam overlay and messing with some compability options with no success. With the standalone version this doesn't happen.

Also it's still possible to throw grenades when there are 2 tiles (wall) in diagonal, idk if you know what I mean, but for that you need to aim in a perfect direction. I'll edit this post later with some imgs

@user mrc: Regarding diagonal tiles and grenades: That's a known problem. Diagonal walls are a huge issue in general. I think you may even be able to shoot through their gaps with perfect positioning and angle. You might also be able to look through them (with fog of war enabled) and it may confuse AI and turrets and lead to even more problems.

This probably won't be fixed. I recommend to not create/use maps with single row diagonal wall tiles unless you enjoy the quirks which come with them.

@user DC: This is some fun thing please don't patch it. The other visual bugs like @user mrc: mentioned the black lines only happen if you have advanced shadows enabled.

@user slimK: @user SQ: Do you even know the purpose of fullscreen optimization? Let me ask you question: Would you play any games even the best game but with a 1 second delay meaning after moving your mouse or clicking in real life, it will move in the screen after a second. How fun'd it be? Nobody probably would even enjoy it anymore. It's the same story as CS2D the render latency of OpenGL and (DirectX with disabled fullscreen optimization) are way so laggy and slow. With some help of one of the discord members we debugged it and with OpenGL there is extra delay, usually over 8 ms render delay, with DirectX and enabled fullscreen optimization there is less than 1 ms delay in total, with disabled fullscreen optimization its pretty the same as OpenGL. As someone who used to be a competitive player you try your best to have the best game experience and the lowest render latency possible. Massive games like Valorant and CSGO got better render latency than CS2D.

OpenGL is supposed to be the fastest in other games but in CS2D its the slowest. This is something that applies to all CS2D players including linux players.

@user DC: @user SQ: There is a very strange exploit where when as soon as someone shoots you with AWP they can kill you with one shot, my friend showed me it.

scope is local-sided, the player can fake their scope and kill anyone they want with one shot

Also, there was a crash server as soon as you'd join the server it'd crash your client.

Please use the bug report thread to report bugs which are not a new thing in this update - if they've not been reported yet. Re-reporting things won't make me fix them quicker.

Regarding scope:
Not strange or surprising at all. Hacking the scope was always possible and unfortunately will always be possible. It can't be prevented because scoping is a client sided thing and everything in the client can be hacked. Period. We can only make it more difficult but attempts in the past have shown that this doesn't stop hackers for long and therefore isn't worth the effort.

@user DC: According to that, Isn't reload supposed to be client sided also? There is a server sided and client sided cooldown for reloading to prevent hackers from reload hacking. so i guess same thing can be done for the scoping. Also, please fix the CS2D filtered crosshair problem, I recently started experiencing it, only "sometimes" it works, even though I've already enabled it.

Uh. It's not possible to simply move everything to server. Some things can't be done and checked on server reliably. How shall I do scoping on server? That really doesn't work. I would have to change scoping game mechanic completely to something which doesn't rely on the client... and... I can't really think of any scoping mechanic in top down 2D which doesn't rely on client things. Moreover I don't even want to change how scoping works. Sorry but we've to live with that.

Edit:
I hotfixed the scrollbar issue with 1.0.1.3 p1 now. Should update automatically on Steam. If you're not using Steam you have manually download the zip and replace the CS2D(.exe) file.

There are a lot of issues with DirectX and OpenGL in CS2D generally, I think It'd be a great idea to take a look on it.

I tried to turn the Tesla coil into the Gluon gun, but i noticed that the teslacoil_end.wav soundfile is unused. Can it be re-enabled?
