I highly assume your graphics drivers weren't updated recently or the recent update(s) led to several bugs such as this. If necessary, roll back the drivers at initial state or update them if you didn't it so.

I can't really since.I play the "Carnage Contest" on a new laptop rarely, only today I tried this weapon.On the old laptop I played long I don't remember it.Today the old laptop refuses to work.

Driver up- or downgrade might help. It's definitely worth a try.
