what stranded 3 REALLY needs from us is free advert... spread the word among your friends, on youtube, on facebook, ect. but most of all needs to be greenlighted on steam... then different youtubers would dive right into S3, and if really lucky, big youtubers like Creatures, Yogscast, Nerdcubed, Total Biscuit, Pewdiepie, ect. would give it a try... for example games like Starmade, dont starve, pixel piracy, terraria, and delver.

I'm just sick of Unreal Software not getting the respect It deserves... even Matt Dickies games are more popular on YouTube and those games are shit... well mostly shit anyway.
EDIT: DC you need to make a good trailer for S3, something I can share to my friends and Facebook ect. -no offense but S2's trailer seemed unprofessional, it didn't do a good job at showcasing the game.

Hey, DayZ managed to get where it got with a $0 marketing campaing. Pfft, it's trailer was shitty to say the least too (I'm talking about the mod here).
But again, thing like that could wait, I think it's waay too early right now.

Nor did mine craft to be fair... but that's because people like the yogscast spread day Z and Mine craft, star made, don't starve, ect.

Jawohl: The games you listed were successful before any famous YouTubers started making videos of them, but yeah, these people can concentrate their entire fanbase to one thing.
The fans of Gronkh & Sarazar for example, two of the most famous YouTubers in Germany, crashed the website of the free to play shooter Xonotic because they all wanted to play with the YTers at the same time. It's pretty crazy.
Before that, there were only very few Xonotic players. But I think the hype around that game has stopped already long ago, cuz yknow, when these famous people stop making videos and livestreams of something like Xonotic, the fans will drop it as well.
Let's hope that won't happen to Stranded III.

1. Will there be something to control the gravity (direction and magnitude) of objects and players?
2. Will we be able to control all the camera angles of the players (pitch, yaw, roll)?
3. When you make the game gui, will you add a standard protocol to follow in case that someone wants to make his own gui? (so that his gui is compatible with the server's gui)
4. Will we be able to freeze the game objects in Lua? (so physical collisions won't make the object move, but would be able to get damage or let a player stand over it)
5. Will we be able to disable partially/completely the physical properties of a object? (gravity, collisions, float in the water, etc) in case that we want to optimize some objects.
6. Just as you mentioned in the development blog that we would be able to make "child" objects in a object, will we be able to make a object a child of another or undo it? (in Lua)

I guess that this is irrelevant, but, do you intend to make a cinematic trailer or intro for the game? Maybe just something cool to play on the background while on the menu.

lev258: Tutorials about the Unity editor? Go to the Unity website or use Google. You WON'T use the Unity 3D editor to create stuff for Stranded III. Stranded III will have its own editor.

Sabowulf: I won't make a video trailer/intro. There might be a little in-game intro (using in-game real time 3D graphics) like in Stranded II though.

DC: Probably you could make a "video competition" just as you did in CS2D. Once the game is finished, of course.
