Are you talkin' to me? Read my message again (or learn to read, from the very beginning) and come back later, dawg.

You said "programming languages ain't for games, generally." Programming languages usually aren't made SPECIFICALLY for games, but they are still suitable for use in games. I do not need to learn how to read, my English is superior to 90% of the people in this forum already. ( I would say this is because of the vast numbers of people who don't speak it as their first language. )

You can start easily. Make a log file which will record all the paths for sprites which are used in map. Then it will be much easier to pack them in the future. You could simply read paths from a log file.

Damn, man, we need to smoke together one day, you're shipping me.

C# has some VB style. Better try C.

Maybe this is confusing you so I better explain:

edit 1,2,3:

C - The young brother of CPP, fast but less functionallity.[(Default Header)]
C# - Same as C, but has some VB style (MS is the cause)
CPP | C++ - advanced C

Every of the above named languages has it pros and contras.

c#/c++/vb/vbs is shit, try something good like python/perl/smalltalk.

Linux, Windows and Mac OS X were made on C, so watch what you say.

i'm not completely sure, but i believe
os x -- objective c
wind0ze -- c/c++

@Chilly-Willy: what do you plan on doing with whatever progrmaming language u learn

After all this fuss you made, you better become a decent programmer.

Meh, it was obvious since the beginning.

This kind of threads usually provokes ego-fights and geeky discussions that rarely ever lead to a coherent conclusion.
