Stranded II General Multiplayer Mod - Download the unexpectedThe parts which are supported depend on the script you use for your map. Using this technique, everyone can make his one mode for multiplayer.
How do you handle things like item damages, speeds, scripts, and other variables?
How are you syncing the world? When one player drops an item, what happens? When a tree is cut down by player A, what does player B see?
EDIT: You also ignored my question about variables. How are weapon speeds, requirements, scripts, damages, effects synched? How are food's values for thirst\hunger\fatigue taken into account? What if one player has (x) mod installed and the other player has (y) mod installed?
when someone is sleeping the time go's faster what hapens whit player B?
But we hope you will still enjoy it.
@lol93: there are 3 things planed:
1. player one just takes a nap, waiting a few seconds, time is going to be the same as on the other player
2. if one player sleeps, the other one also sleeps
3. you have to vote, if you are going to sleep.

1. As the multiplayer mod is a mod on its own, it won't work correct with any other mod, as long as it isn't changed.
2. the map is transfered from the host to the other one in the beginning.
3.Trees and stuff will also be cut down on the other player, or not able to becoming destryoed, depending on the mode.
4.Too many information, that have to be send, will result in lagg, so it won't be the "full" Stranded feeling.

1. So everything that handles multiplayer is done through s2script? There is no source code changes?
2. What information is on the map? What do the scripts on the map do?
3. So the world is synched to both players? Is the state of objects the only thing synched, or are individual variables synched? If a tree has 1 health on player A's world, will the tree have 1 health on player's B world? Or is it not synched until it has been destroyed?
4. You've been dodging the questions. What *is* sent? Is this merely multiplayer movement? Or rather, what does it *not* allow or have?
2. Same as 1
3. It does not make sense, that player b would have to hit it like it had full health, so the lifes will be synched.
4. It sends everything, which has changed and has got a multiplayer script.

The only thing that are sent are things that are explicitly scripted to work with the multiplayer? How does this work with dropped items, or thrown weapons (such as spears and arrows)?

Ill go with 1
sleeping times should be less like 10 seconds max?
while sleeping our character gains invulnerbilty if he is under the roof?
And sorry to bug you but Did you edited the source code or
made it by scripting?
and what features will be missing in the "stranded feel"
@Vibhor: No he won't be, so in dm it will become fun, if you hear a snoring, so you have to hurry up and kill the other one.
And:
Quote
No, its not possible to use only scripting
@Bloodshot: We will release further details in the future
man
when will you release it?
and final thing
Is it a mod created by scripting or source editing
i just want it to be clear
I'm so happy! This is amazing!!!
I LOVE YOU!!!
OMG, OMG!!!
You will be my hero
I know it's very very early to be saying this, but please add some form of anti-cheat. At least disable console commands so people can't ruin the game.
How many players do you want to be able to play at once?
Oh, and what happens if one person is dying of fatigue but the other doesn't want to sleep?
