I'm trying to play this game as I love it, and I'm on vacation so I need something to do while I'm bored. The problem is that I am not an admin on this computer, so I have to run the zipped files of the game. However, this doesn't work as it just brings up a black screen for less than half a second, and then it disappears. Nothing else happens after that. I've also tried using the bat files, but that didn't work.

I don't know what is causing it, and I can't find any solution on this forum. I'm on a pretty locked down system, so I can't do stuff like update my graphics drivers. I meet all the minimum specs. Does anyone have a solution?

Do you for sure meet the specs on graphics? What version of windows are you running? Are you able to play other 3d games?

I'm running windows XP tablet edition.

I can run GTA san andreas just fine, so I am highly doubtful that my system can't handle the game unless it's a problem not related with the power of my graphics card.
